Reflection Mental Health Therapy, PLLC

Owned by Amanda Thompson, LCSW

Specialties include Medical trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment issues, Caregiver stress, Relationship issues

My current practice has been shaped by my time working inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and medical case management.  I performed assessments for psychiatric admission in emergency rooms and on medical units. I've worked with individuals hospitalized for medical and/or psychiatric treatment and held group and individual therapy sessions.  I've been in the Social Work field since 2006 and Psychiatry since 2010.

The combined experience of medical social work and psychiatry has led to my specialties including medical trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and adjustment disorders.  I also have training and experience in caregiver stress and relationship issues.

Therapy is collaborative, let's work together in an effort to make life more of what you want it to be.  I can confidently offer support and guidance for navigating painful experiences and difficult decisions, no matter what those might be. As a therapist, I offer an approach filled with warmth, empathy, humor, and gentle directness. This environment provides a safe space for you to explore your emotions and challenges, including those you've never voiced before. I am here to meet you where you are, offering compassionate care as we navigate your emotions and experiences together.
